Availability, inclusion, and execution
Read each source in three stages:

| Availability | Whether the platform has enabled the source for your product lane. |
| Inclusion | Whether that available source is included in this landscape. |
| Execution | Whether it was actually searched, and whether the search succeeded. |
Selecting a source does not activate it. The source boundary displayed for your account is the authority for what you can include.
Understand the current source boundary
ClinicalTrials.gov is the starting activated evidence pack described by these guides. Additional sources become selectable only when their product and source checks pass. Consult the in-product source status for your exact lane and run.
A separately displayed preview or companion search may not be eligible for comparator selection, evidence packets, or model analysis. Read its displayed limitations before using it.
Interpret search outcomes
A successful search returning zero records means no records were returned for that query and source execution. It does not establish that no relevant study exists elsewhere or under different search terms.
A partial search, unavailable source, timeout, or failed request is different from a successful empty result. Review the reason and retry or refine the question where appropriate.
Check freshness
Source dates and recorded retrieval context help explain how current a result is. A saved historical landscape retains the context of its revision. Opening it later does not automatically refresh the evidence.
When freshness matters, inspect the source status and use the available refresh workflow. Keep the earlier revision when you need to reconstruct a prior comparison.
